One Tool you can use in photo shop is the measure tool.

The measure tool lets you measure length, width, angle and location of areas in your image. If you scan something in a little crookedly, use this tool to measure the angle and then use "rotate canvas" to correct the rotation by the exact amount. To measure, choose the measure tool from the tool box. (It looks like a little ruler). Draw a line with it, and look at the info palette to see the angle, width, length and coordinates of your line. When you double click on the page, the line will disappear. Then go to Image > Rotate Canvas > Arbitrary. The amount of rotation needed to make a 90 degree angle will automatically be computed. Click OK.

How are women represented in music video's

Statement 1: In many rap videos women have no identity except as sexual playthings and "eye candy"


Statement 2: These images do provide pleasures to some viewers. But the concern is that men may internalise the notion that women are nothing more than sexual objects waiting to be used.


Statement 3: These sorts of images are not unique to hip hop. Objectified female bodies are everywhere. They appear throughout our culture in films, advertisements, television programmes etc. However, within music videos, this is virtually the ONLY vision of women available.


In the rap world, women represent success, and they are treated almost as accessories: a means for rappers to prove that they have made it to the top. It is not that rappers feel that women are inferior, but they feel treating women like a collector’s item is how they should go about displaying their new-found success. 

The women are now shown more sexually in the upcoming video's. Some videos are now banned in England because of how graphic the sexual scenes in videos have become for example: Group love- "Ways to go", David Bowie -the next day (explicit), The weekend- Kiss land, Die antwoord- Cookie Thumper, The Knife- A Tooth for an eye, Robbie Thicks blurred lines (unrated) and Rihanna's music video Pour it up. all these videos have been banned for the behaviour of being to sexual and too gory.

The women are shown like the men "own" them. The women are shown in revealing clothing.The women are usually dancing around the artist. The women shown half naked most of the time to get people buying magazine's, albums and other merchandise. 

This isn't only happening in music videos this is also happening in advertisements and 
movies. 

Movies- Lovelace, sin city and sex in the city.

Advertisements- CK (Celvin Klein), Hugo Boss and Lynx.

From ten years ago to now I would say that music video's have become more inappropriate, far too sexual for young people. I mean any kid or teenager can go onto youtube and type in an inappropriate video.
